Market this week

Good morning.
My neighbor, Karen, pointed out to me that I had not writing on my blog for a while. It is true. But there is not a lot to write about, right now. I mean, who wants to read that I sat and knit all day or that I discovered that I had two copies of the same knitting book. Who!?! I can’t imagine anyone would want to read those pieces of information.
But we had a good market this week. Very good, both in vendors and in sales. The weather was perfect, partly cloudy changing to sunshine in the afternoon. And the people shopping were interested and they were buying. I sold 4 caps. Which is the most I have sold at this market. We had over 30 vendors squeezed into the Waldport Community Center parking lot. And until about 1:30 p.m. or so we had more customers than we have had before.
The first cap I sold was to a lady who just wanted a cap. She enjoys wearing them. The next sale was to a mother and daughter who were visiting Waldport. They each bought a cap. I figured that I had probably sold all the caps for the day I was going to sell. But a little while later along came another lady and she had been having some sort of medical treatment (not cancer, though) and her hair was thin and dull. She got a cap to help cover her head until her hair grew back.
Later in the day, I thought I had sold the red guy cap. The guy looked at it and looked at it and finally decided that the red was not really what he wanted, and what he wanted was a nice brown. I don’t have any brown caps in inventory. So I made a note in my little notebook to make a brown guy cap. Am not sure I even have any brown yarns, but will check and make one.
I worked all day on the huge beret the musician said he wanted. Have almost finished the first skein of black. He did not come buy this week, but I will finish it and have it ready, and if he does not want it or does not show up to decide whether he wants it or not, it will go into inventory for the show in November.
The cap for the vegetable plant vendor is ready to top off. So I will get that on double point needles today and get it ready for market next week. I have an additional 5 more caps to top, as well. So you can see, that while I have not been writing, I have been busy.
Well, the knitting calls. Have a great day. Good knitting. Granny LJ
